Rocket is best sown in spring or autumn and will be ready for harvesting in just six to seven weeks - you can even eat the baby leaves after about two weeks. It tastes best when harvested young, so keep nipping off the leafy growth to produce rich pickings. The plant prefers full sun or semi-shade and well-drained soil. The ideal temperature for germination is 15 to 20 degrees, but rocket will germinate down to 5 degrees.
