What’s inside the Elm Magic Bag?
Organic Wheat Flakes
A perfect base for homemade muesli, organic wheat flakes are high in fibre and make a tasty breakfast. You can go traditional and add some sliced bananas and cinnamon spice or get a little creative by adding some coconut chips and dried cranberries. Yum!
Organic Corn Flour
Like most flours, organic corn flour is used as a binding agent for puddings and similar recipes. It is often used as a thickener for gravy’s, soups, and sauces. You can use it as a coating when frying sliced aubergine or cauliflower chicken.
Organic Rice Syrup
Organic brown rice syrup has a mild sweetness; much less so than agave syrup, sugar and honey. It is known to be reminiscent of butterscotch with a slightly nuttier taste. You can use it like any other liquid sweetener. Add it to drinks, your pancakes or in any recipe that calls for a liquid sweetener.
Organic Steel Cut Oats
Unlike the more common oats, organic steel cut oats preserve all of the nutrition contained in the grain. It retains the germ, the endosperm and the bran which makes it a great option for a wholesome breakfast, lunch or even dinner.
Organic Dried Black Mulberries
Rich in iron, organic dried black mulberries are similar to raspberries with a sweet, tart flavour. You can eat them as a snack, add them to a tasty loaf of homemade banana bread, or add them as a topping for both flavour and a unique chewy texture.
Remember to transfer your ingredients into an airtight container to help preserve their quality.
