Organic Yellow Mustard Seeds Cooking Guide

Servings: 1 small jar

1. Soak 1/2 cup of organic yellow mustard seeds in 1/2 cup of water and 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar for 24 hours.
2. Blend the soaked seeds with 2 tablespoons of agave syrup, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric until smooth.
3. Transfer the mixture to a sterilised jar and let it sit at room temperature for 2-3 days to develop flavour.
4. Refrigerate the mustard for at least 24 hours before using to allow the flavours to meld.

Packaging & Storage

You’ll receive your Organic Yellow Mustard Seeds in a compostable kraft bag (unless you chose to get a compostable resealable pouch instead). These will be fine stored in the kraft bag for an extended time although, we recommend decanting and storing them in an airtight container to maintain optimum quality. Once decanted, you can save multiple bags and return them to us for a reward.

Cauliflower with Ginger and Organic Yellow Mustard Seeds

In a large skillet, heat the oil over moderate heat until it is hot but not smoking; cook the mustard seeds, covered, stirring occasionally, until the popping subsides. Add the cauliflower, stirring to coat it with the oil, and 1/2 cup water and steam the mixture, covered, adding more water a few tablespoons at a time if it evaporates, until the cauliflower is just tender, about 6 to 10 minutes.
