Organic brown long grain rice contains less starch than its counterparts, making these long slender grains perfect for Indian pilafs.

How To Cook

  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil, using 6 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. 

  2. Rinse the rice in a fine mesh colander under running water to remove excess starch. 

  3. Add the rice to the boiling water. 

  4. Boil, uncovered, for 30 minutes. 

  5. Drain off the remaining cooking water and return the rice to the pot. Cover the pot and let the rice rest, off the heat, for 10 minutes. 

  6. Fluff, season as desired, and serve.
