Organic yellow split peas are a great source of protein, their mild flavour and soft texture once cooked make them perfect for soups, dahls and pies.

How To Cook

  1. Using 2 cups of water to 1 cup of split yellow peas. Combine water and split yellow peas. 

  2. Bring to a slow simmer. Season to taste and cover. 

  3. Cook for at least 20 minutes, covered, until the yellow split peas are fully cooked, stirring occasionally. 

  4. If you prefer a smoother texture, continue to cook for an extra 10 - 15 minutes to allow the yellow split peas to break up even more. 

  5. These can now be served or added into a recipe.
